Edith and I, along with our older sister, have hiked about a third of the trail over the last 15 years, but now it's time to finish. Two of us, Edith and myself are planning to go to Maine this summer, walking on the AT. We're beginning in southern VA, at the place we got off the trail on our last AT hike. It should take until the end of September, God willin' and the knees hold out. See you in the fall.

I wish you sure footing, strong backs, delightful times, and happy outlooks. Enjoy the time together. s. nielsen
ReplyDeleteIf you see elephants or an oil refinery on your sojourn, you will have discovered the fact of what was speculated. Godspeed.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Deborah. Hope all is well at TOOLPRO. We are having a wonderful time. Today is a mite cold though. It actually may snow. We're very happy to be at the hostel still!!
DeleteA prayer: We stand now at the threshold of Your great cathedral, the forest. The nave is narrow and long. Choirs of birds sing anthems as breezes bear the music to countless branches. Bright stars trace the ceiling vault while cycles of the moon and our heartbeats make comprehensible Your timelessness.
ReplyDeleteGod, as we humbly make our way toward your altar, protect us, hold us to your bosom and allow us to be one with you and your creation. Amen.
